I just got a Rock Island Armory 1911 and I was wondering how far I could go with it and still keep it looking good. What I wonder about most is what SS and silver parts look like on the Parkerized finish.
It has a Wilson match trigger, SS grip safety and slide stop and hex head screws. I plan on putting in a SS hammer and maybe a SS beavertail grip safety and round mainspring housing. Has anyone put a lot of SS parts on a Parked 1911? Do you have pics so I can see what it might look like. I am esp. interested in what a SS grip safety and Mainspring housing would look like. If you don't have pics, could you point me in the direction of some pics?
