Hey guys,
Due to the recent hike in ammo prices, I have been looking at other options besides my beloved xm193.
I noticed this Norinco Target Match 55gr ammo in Orange/Red 20rnd boxes for a good price. I was wondering if anyone has shot this and could give me some insight.
Thanks
Russ

Don't know about the newer stuff...

But I bought several thousand rounds of Norinco .223 in the 1990s, and saved the brass for later. I'm still reloading it to this day! :D

As stated, it isn't great ammo but certainly no worse than 5.56 offerings from other com-bloc nations.

Hmm, and this is the "target match" ammo that you guys are shooting? Is it clean?

How does it compare to xm193?

No, the stuff I had was M193 and I haven't seen any Norinco since about 1994.
Where are you getting your ammo? Canada??

It is a private sale..... and the guy says it is "Norinco Match Target" ammo. But I don't know anything about it. Again I like high grade bulk ammo (i know kind of a oxy-moron). Such as XM-193.

I don't want to just take this guys word for how accurate/good this ammo is. I know that people aren't too excited about regular Norinco bulk ammo, I just wanted to know if this was any different.

Maybe you should ask if its new or surplus and when it was manufactured if it is surplus.

I personally dont have any experience with Norinco, but I'm sure with that information, someone will be able to help.
