Have any of you guys developed a good handload with the 60 gr. Nosler BT in a 22-250? My concern is the rate of twist of the barrel. I'm shooting a Remington 700 VSF in 22-250 and it has a 1/14 barrel. Since the 22-250 is faster round than the .223, will the 1/14 twist be sufficient for the 60 gr. BT?

The twist may or may not be sufficient. I would say try it and see.

I use Speer 70 gr. Semi-Spitzer in several .224 caliber rifles with 1:12 twist barrels. I've heard they work in 1:14 twist barrels as well; if you're wanting to shoot heavier bullets they might be worth a try. I've used this bullet for varmints as well as a couple of deer (one at about 80 yards with a 222 Rem. and another at 360 yards with a 22-250 Rem.) and they work well.

That is only true due to the fact a longer barrel will get somewhat higher velocity.

Twist is twist, and barrel length doesn't have anything to do with it, other then an increase in velocity.

So with a Savage 1:12 twist, what is the heaviest i can shoot accurately? I have a hard time with the 22-250 twist compared to 223 twist. It doesnt make sense to me :)
