Have a question on a Winny rifle...

...Which I know very little about winny rifles.
It is a 308 cal model 70 sporter vamint. I have not seen it, so I am guessing a medium contour bbl. It sports a burris fullfield scope, 3x9.
Is this a pre 64 or not? What might the value of something like this be?
A friend of mine, won this on a football pool!!!! He's a total rifle idiot, but apparently lucky...

It's a post-'64, pre-'08 Winchester after all.

It is pronounced WINCHESTER!! Winnie is the name of a bear and a term used by kids. Do you also own Remmies and some shotties?

I have been shooting for 50 years and never heard these terms until the internet came along. Hits me like squeaky chalk on a blackboard. Sorry, I don't mean to offend anyone. It just seems so wrong.

No flames meant. The trouble is that there are a lot of variants within the specs you give. Sort of like asking: "I've got this old Ford, what's it worth?" There's a considerable difference in worth between a 1965 Falcon 4-door & 65 Mustang.

I'll try and get some more info on it, and to look at it myself whenever I
get a chance.
And to bhk dude; I deff have some remmies and a shottie, and a rifle that shoots aggies, and some of my rifles are bolties, but most are semi's,
, and a couple of other thingies, IIRW.
