For those of you who have owned them:
1. How many rounds do you have through it and is it still holding up?
2. Have you or anyone else you know ever actually worn one out and how many rounds was that?

I already have a separately dedicated home defense and a separately dedicated bird gun.

The purpose for this will be to shoot sporting clays about six times a year and social plinking at the range. I know it's not ideal for sporting clays. Mostly I just want to add a double barrel SxS to my toy collection. It will probably get about 1000 rounds a year through it at most.

I've research the internet and see opinions ranging from it's adequate to it's metal is a bit on the soft side an will wear out. I've handled enough of them to know the fit and finish is fine for my needs.

Many thanks for the input.

I recently bought one used from a Pawn shop. The gun is well used but in great condition for what I paid for it.

I bought mine for much the same reason and if I ever get into Cowboy shooting, I have one less gun to buy.

I shot about 10 rounds through mine the last time I was at the range to blow up the leftover pumpkin. I haven't worn mine out yet :D :D :D I'll likely still have it in great shape for my som to inherit some day.

You are correct in that 20" barrels are inadequate for sporting clays - you might also want to consider a used Stevens or Savage/Fox with 26" barrels - still not ideal, but somewhat better in quality, barrel length and longevity
