Unfortunately the only way to reliably prevent convicted criminals from obtaining firearms is criminal background checks, or permanent forehead tattoos which state they can't buy firearms.

The only reliable way to keep violent criminals from buying firearms is to keep the violent criminals locked up.

The funniest thing about this is when you suggest it people go off about how endless prison or harsher sentences violate the rights of the criminal.

Yet, these same people say it's alright to violate the rights of the law abiding in the name of protecting themselves from these same criminals.

Just thinking about it makes my head hurt, I can't imagine what it's like to actually believe it.

Those intent on murder & mayhem care not what the laws are nor what the consequences for their actions will be.
The founders understood that infringements only affected the rights of the innocent.

Hurts my head, too! As for them believing it, it's either agenda keeping them from admitting the truth; gross ignorance; or severe brain damage ... It's either one, two, or all! Take your pick!

Have you seen some of the ludicrous settlements women get because they choose divorce and then want you to still pay lest they have to actually be responsible themselves?
