Have you ever downsized your deer rifle choice?

Started hunting with a 99 Savage in the .300 Sav flavor, it was my Dad's gun. Bought a .308 on the same 99 Savage frame, shot it for many years until the "magnum" bug bit me. As a lefty, found a lefthanded Browning stainless stalker in 7mm mag. Good gun, but heavy, and a lot of tissue damage to the deer. Started looking at the ballistic tables and settled out at the offspring of these two guns, a left handed wood stocked Browning A bolt in a 7mm-08 and I haven't looked back. That rifle fits me so well, points as naturally for me as pointing my finger, throws a 4 shot clover touching patterning at 100 yards with Federal Fusion, and recoils like the kiss from my high school girlfriend....yup, I think I'm in love....
