Have you heard about the web site called "The Gun Wire" it is a great site that aggregates a lot of information posted around the Internet, every day. I've been reading it now for several months, and really enjoy it.

It is the "Drudge Report" for all things firearms.

Check it out here:

I've never heard of it before and I'm always looking for new gun websites. It's pretty awesome! Thanks!

Nice site, but it obnoxiously refreshes itself every minute, making scrolling through the page very painful. Seriously, who thought that was a good idea?

Good point, I just shared your comment with Gun Wire's owner for his consideration.

If you scroll to the bottom of the page, you can send a message to the site owner and let him know how you feel about the refresh thing.

Been browsing it a few days now, is it me or does it seem most of the stories are just anti-gun articles from regular media? I was hoping it would be more tailored like the NRA's ILA site and/or gunssavelives.net.

Ryanxia, I don't think most of the stories are reprint of anti-gun media stories. Just look at the spread out there today, for example. Looks like a great mix of all kinds of stuff, from the mundane to the absurd, to the interesting, to the fun, etc.

YMMV.

Not 100% sold on site, but it looks like it's worth a visit every so often.

it obnoxiously refreshes itself every minute

Just about any script blocking addon will stop that.

There's SO much posted, it is almost hard to follow. I take a look at it every other day, at least.

The one thing I really dislike about that site is it almost exclusively shows negative articles. All the crimes and bad things people do with guns, and none of the good things. It makes you wonder if the site is really pro-gun or not, because reading through it would turn someone on the fence into an anti.

Wardenwolf, I guess that's the point I was trying to make. Seems very negative.

Spoke with the site owner last night and he insisted the constant refresh was necessary so looks like it's staying. :(

Well, I'm crossing that site off my list of sites to visit, then. It looks to me like it's an anti-gun site masquerading as pro-gun. And the owner is an idiot if he thinks the autorefresh is a good idea. I honestly see nothing positive about that site that I can't find, better, other places, without having to deal with the page refreshing while I'm trying to scroll it.

Yes, Wolf, you figured it out. It is run by anti-gunners. It's clearly an assault on the Second Ammendment.

It is not an anti-gun website by any stretch. If it was you wouldn't see anything positive in regards to firearms. It includes all stories big and small, pro and con. I found it quite interesting and time consuming. You could spend all day with it.

The problem will lie with the people you see actually writing the articles. The owner of the site does is not a contribute to the writing. It is just a stream of articles involving guns. I actually find it sorta refreshing that it is just a mixture of everything. Whatever is written about guns, good or bad, can be found there.

It truly seems to be unbiased. It is rare to find that today on either side.

It is kind of like a library, it is just what is out there. You read it, you decide. If nothing else it is a good place to find out what media outlets are saying. Contact the author of the articles you do not agree with directly.

I don't think it is antigun or pro-gun. And I personally have no problem with a information site being unbiased
