My neighbor was just given a rifle by his Aunt, it is a Remington model 35, 22 s/l/lr bolt action with a tubular magazine. I can't find any info in my books or on the internet on this rifle. Have you ever seen or heard of one?
Thanks in advance.

I would go to the remington website and under their rifles they have and do mfg you should find the info you are seeking on your new gift and congrats on it I do love my marlin 981t

I've never heard of that model.

Model 341
Model 37
Model 41
Model 411

Model 510
Model 511
Model 512
Model 513
Model 514
Model 521
Model 540X
Model 541
Model 580
Model 581
Model 581S
Model 582
Model 591
Model 592
Nylon 10
Nylon 11
Nylon 12

It is probably a model 34, made from about 1933 to 1936, It was the first Remington .22 with a tubular magazine and was followed by the 341, 512 and 582. Remington did not produce a model 35.

there is a Model 35, check gunbroker and make sure you include closed auctions
I saw an article somewhere in the past, but I don't remember where.

I searched the closed auctions on gunbroker, nothing but .35 Rem and .35 Whelen, no Remington Model 35.

I'd like to see pics to see what it looks like.

Guys, it's the 21st century. If you want to get your gun identified, post a picture. If you claim something is on Google post a link.

Actually I saw one on an auction site with a good pic of the marking, but I think it was either an import or generic made for off brands

Go to Rimfirecentral and post in the Remington forum. John Gyde hangs out there and he wrote the book on Remington rimfires. You could just buy his book, too. You'll find a definitive answer there.

I see on 24hourcampfire that RFC was down for a couple of days last week. I guess they're having problems again.

I'd still like to see some pics of a Model 35.

John

Okay, RFC is back up. Multiple searches using different terms return nothing.

"Google it............It`s there"

If that's the best you can do, why don't you keep it to yourself? Hmm?

John

Now the RFC forums won't open. Nuts. Maybe I should rejoin, looks like they could use the money. :D

Maybe I could find someone local to buy the earlier of my 2 Cowan rests. ;)

John

your not going to find anything on it because there has never been a remington model 35 .22 rifle.

im sure the o.p. is describing the model 34 bolt action, tubular fed bolt action rifle.
