This is the one I had gotten from FL_Flinter "on The Firingline Forums" that he made his self, & it is a true working piece.
So far I have just gotten it a few weeks ago so there isn't any history to it from me any way but it struck me when he posted it on the forums & I had to have it.
very nice, both of you. mine is just plain with a little duct tape at the top of the handle because i cut it a bit short. so i wont bother "showing it off."
Back in the Day I was a Mountain Man ... Shot to eat, Hunted and trapped for Furs ...even tried panin' fur gold. Picture is in the Mountains of the Angeles Natinal Forest Late 80's. Still throw a pretty mean Hawk and Bowie Knife. Carried a Tennessee Poorboy .50 still got it, the knife and two Hawks.
I was known as Smokin" Gun, and still am ...
Bought mine, locally made... I've used it lots, but had to replace the handle (the handle was obviously going to break, the grain was horrible, but the head itself was great). The head has held up extremely well to moderate use in the woods, as has the new handle.
