Have a few questions about a rifle that belongs to a friend of mine. It is marked on top of the barrel Hawthorne Warrior Model M820B 22 S-L-LR. It needs all the internal parts for the magazine tube. I tried google which led me to Numrich Gun Parts, they say it was made by Mossberg, which is correct as far as I can tell, but they say it is a Mossberg 340, which is a magazine fed rifle, not tube fed like the one I have. So I guess my questions are, what model of rifle is this, Im pretty sure its made by Mossberg, but what model? Where might I find parts besides Numrich? I took a couple of pics which are posted below, my camera batteries died before I could take more pics, so if any more are needed please post and I will take and post them.

Thanks, Mike'

I have this same gun, but not in as nice of condition that I am trying to restore as a present to my uncle who is the original owner. Could you please post any information you find out about it. Strangely enough mine is also missing all the magazine tube parts as well and I will need to find replacements.

Sorry ive been kind of busy and forgot about this post. I contacted Mossberg and they referred me to a collectors club that wants 10 dollars before they will answer any questions. Im still looking, I may just pay the 10 and sign up for the club. I will post any info I aquire.

I found that (wrong) crossover list two other places.
I think THINK from looking at old publications that your rifle has the action of a Mossberg 146. Unfortunately, Mossberg tube magazines for that and all other models I could find were the full length of the barrel. So its inner magazine tube would not be a direct fit for your Hawthorne. A careful worker could shorten it, working from the knob end, if IF it were the right diameter and had the right size and length of follower.

I'd take it to a gun show and see if somebody showing a tube mag Mossberg would let me play with their inner tube.

Or call Jack First. He has the incorrect crossover list, too, but people there will talk to you.

Wish I had more for you than maybes and take a look and ask over here. But that gun is probably getting on toward 50 years old.

MHB can you please post some more pictures of your gun especially some close ups of the bolt. I am trying to figure out how it should be finished.
