Hey all-

In another thread that I can't seem to find someone linked to Kempf's gun shop in regards to the Lee Classic Turret Press they had there as a package deal. Mine just showed up today. I got:

Lee Classic Turret Press
Lee 4 Die .45 ACP set
Lee Lever Prime system
Lee Pro Autodisk powder measure ($9.95 extra)

All of this for only $154.90! Shipping was extra of course. You couldn't piece this together for that kind of money. Thanks again to whoever it was that originally posted up the link. Sorry I can't find the original thread to reference. Point being, this is a smoking deal.

You can see it all and order it here:

The other deal is Midway USA. If you have a C&R then send it off to them. You won't save a ton on everyday items but some things will net you a big savings.

I have just recently been bitten, hard, by the reloading bug. I ordered a ton of stuff from Midway but decided to pass on a chronograph. About 12 hours after placing the initial order I decided I had to have one so I searched their website and found the Shooting Chrony F1 Chronograph for $79.99. I thought that sounded like a pretty good deal. I have my C&R on file with Midway and so I decided to log in and see if there was any saving on it. Yep, there was. It was only $63.99! That's right, a 16 dollar savings just for being a C&R holder. I was pleased to say the least.

See it here:

Just thought I would pass along some good savings to my fellow THR members.

What is a C & R

I am not an expert and have yet to get a C&R license but hope this answer helps.

It is a Curio and Relic license, a type of FFL issued by the BATFE for collectors. It allows you to buy certain guns that are recognized as C&R without having to go through a regular dealer. Several companies also offer discounts for FFL holders and make no distinction between a reglar FFL who is in th business of buying and selling guns, or a C&R holder who is a collector.

I think they also give you six ammo boxes too, right? That's worth another 5-6 bucks if I recollect right.

That's funny. I just ordered the same deal yesterday. Should make a nice complement to my Rockchucker. It worked out great since I needed some .38 Special dies and have been considering the press for a while. Actually I didn't even know about the deal until I called there and the nice lady told me about it. I went with a regular auto disk measure instead of the Pro but it can be upgraded later with a kit that also includes the adjustable charge bar for $14.

I forgot to ask if you get both the large and small primer feeders. Maybe someone knows.
Along with the ammo boxes you also get the "auto disk riser" that's also worth about $10.
Anyway, what a great deal. Way better than the other package, Cabela's $150 deal which has been sold out for a while. I have a feeling Kempf's won't have these in stock much longer either.
