Greetings all. The title says it all. 42.95 per battle pack. No, I don't work for AIM. However, I would like to see some members of my "home" forum get some if they need it. Probably won't be long before the guys over on ARF.com buy it all up!

Its probably already gone. It has been posted on ARFCOM for a few hours. I put in an order just now but I dont expect to see it fulfilled. I cant believe we are now scrounging for 31 cents a round surplus.

Wow that stuff doubled since my last order. That's why I haven't been able to shoot my FAL in a while.

A guy from AIM wrote over at ARFCOM, so it will be interesting to see:

And he is right, our website doesn't talk to our inventory, we update the website everyday, but if its a crazy night stuff can oversell.

Man, I remember buying that same South African ammo for about half that price a couple years ago. It's a good thing CETME's are going up in value, I might have to sell mine.

$$$ Wow

It's cheaper to buy 30-06 M2 ball than it is to buy 7.62 NATO. That's just hard to believe, but there it is. Earlier today I took delivery on a case of 960 rounds of Lake City M2 ball from CMP. It cost me 24-cents a round, delivered.
I'm starting to wonder if I should be so on-fire to buy an FAL. I'd hardly be able to afford to shoot it.

Glad to help out fella's. I tell you what I gotta' do though is, order some Greek HXP 30/06 from the CMP. That stuff is an absolute freakin' bargain!

The trouble is, when CMP runs out of Lake City and Greek '06, shooting the ought six will again cost more than .308.

People should stop complaining about the prices. That's how the surplus market works. This year ammo is expensive, next year they give it out like it's Halloween.

I look forward to buying some CETME's and FAL's.....and VEPR 308's. Knowing that when the troops pull out in 2007-08 they will all march down my street and give me all their surplus ammo.:what:

EDIT:
Last months gun show I attended had a vendor with about 6 or 8 SA Battle Packs for $49.95 each. Is it normal for someone to have a stash like that since it's so rare these days? I thought they were unobtainable until that day.

"Not when they are sitting on over 10,000 rounds of SA, Portugese and Australian that they bought at less than 14 cents a round."

Oh, so thats where all the milsurp went!:scrutiny:

Well they are open for business and have not removed it yet, still taking orders.
That leads me to believe that they didn't sell out overnight.

Just purchased 20 battle packs in the last month from a local dealer. I'll just put those up and reload.

Well that was an expensive tip, I just ordered 8 packs. I've got an FAL on order, perfect fodder to feed it. A little strange to be ordering ammo that I don't have anything chambered for yet...

Tex

I ordered alot of it last night. I really thought they would have taken it down by now, but maybe people arent ordering as much as I thought.

Too bad this isnt boxer primed or I would have bought alot more. I really thought that stuff was, but it isnt. :(

Is the Portugese boxer primed or something. I have never figured out why it was the primo 308 surplus, but maybe that is it??

Yesterday, I ordered 3520 rds of 7.62 x 54r for an M44 I have yet to purchase.

Hopefully that will change today when I go see if there are any in stock. :D
