Headstamp ID

I'm sorting through some 38 special brass tonight and came across a headstamp I'm unfamiliar with.

Says "MDPD".. Anyone familiar? At first thought those initials mean Miami-Dade PD. Is it their brass?? Crappy cell pic attached.

It could be Macklenburg Duncan, Paint Department, but I doubt it...

Metro Dade PD made by Starline in the 80's.

Most likely correct on Miami Dade PD. I have several that are headstamped Spokane PD, from Spokane, Washington, and several other headstamps from other locals. Several large departments did that to discourage their brass from walking off the range after qualifications...........

^ Indeed. Ottos 38s states it is 1980s Era Starline made for the Metro Dade Police Department. Present day would call this Miami Dade PD.
