Headstamps on .223 ammo...

A friend brought me a box of .223 ammo.( several hundred rounds) Some of the head stamps I recognize. There are two that I've not seen. I don't have a rifle that is chambered for this round yet so I'm really not "up to speed" on who makes ammo.

Here are the two I don't know...#1-C J with a yr date. and #2- PSD with a yr date. Twenty rounds of the PSD has a green tip.

From what I've seen in the past, I'm sure the information brain trust found here on The High Road can fill in my missing bits of info and never break a sweat!

Green tip is PMC xtac steel core http://pmcammo.com/wp/ammo/rifle/x-tac/

PSD = South Korean / PMC.

CJ = Chinese / Norinco. (Not worth fooling with IMO.)

Thanks for the responses. Of course...the CJ is the predominate head stamp.

I just hope its not corrosive.

Don't know about their 223 but their 7.62x39 was pretty darn good.

The CJ is good Chinese export ammo, and is most-likely non-corrosive Boxer.
