Health risks of volatile corrosion inhibitors?

I'll have to dig through PubMed and see is there are any other papers / studies to see anything more recent / authoritative but I'd figure I'd get the discussion going. What's the current consensus?

Interesting. Makes me wonder about the bags for storing rifles and guns, protecting them from rust or corrosion. (same thing)

The ones I buy and use go into closed containers or nearly sealed containers. It's not like I'm carrying one around or sleeping next to one. And I live in a drafty house.

Then again, I used a heat gun to burn 97 years worth of paint off of 8 large shutters, so what do I know anymore.

A physical contact threat exists for workers handling VCI-protected parts. Many VCI manufacturers claim VCI chemicals leave the parts within about three hours after depreservation, while some claim continued protection.
