heat treating cases

Yes, I have tried this product tempilaq when annealing case necks.

Comes in a bottle that looks like model paint with a brush. I paint a verticle stripe on the inside of the case neck on say five cases in a batch of twenty.
I use a lee case length gauge lock stud and shell holder to load on a variable speed drill. Slowly rotate the case while applying heat from a propane torch.

When the tempilaq reacts (turns clear) I remove the heat. I use the tempilaq yellow which has a 650f reaction. I average the time on the heat with those five cases and do the rest of the batch in the same time increments. Not to scientific, if it averages a slow count to four or five seconds then the rest of the cases get the same slow count in the heat.
