Heavy barrel J frame?

The full under lug barrel and round to square grips make this 'J' frame easy to shoot.

I had them both, a Model 36 with a heavy 3" barrel and one with a 3" tapered barrel. Liked the extra weight of the heavy barrel in balancing the gun and for keeping the front sight on target. The heavy barrel version had a round but while the tapered barrel had a square butt. I used a Tyler T-Grip adapter on both of them.

Heres my S&W model 60- 15 heavy barrel. One of my carry guns. 357 can be stout from it, grips make a big difference. Pachmayr for the jframe seem to mitigate the most recoil since they are the fattest and cover the back strap. But i still prefer the wood altomonts for carry.

Really like this little gun.

My 3 inch 60-4 next to its big brother 686. Both are delightful to shoot, both are incredibly accurate, only one is delightful to carry.

The grips on that 60 are incredible. What are they?

I don’t know. I bought the gun used and the grips were on the gun. The factory grips were in the box. There is no manufacturer’s identification anywhere on the grips. The gun was shipped in the mid 1990s. The grips are very comfortable. Sorry I cannot answer your question.
