Has anyone had any experience with H&K's customer service? Were they helpful, friendly? Was the turn around time acceptable? Fast? Too slow?
Did the gun come back improved/fixed? Were you happy or bothered?

Thanks for the responses.

I purchased a P7 used, that was made in 1981. I had owned it for about 2 months and was having trouble with it. It was very hard to take down, to the point that 3 guys at the gunstore who own P7's couldn't take it down. Sent to HK, the guy I got it from put the grip panels on wrong. Got a cleaning, test firing and a thank you not from HK, didn't cost me a cent.

The only complaints I've heard about HK customer service are from the people who have never owned an HK firearm.

:D

I've got a 45 and 9mm P9S and a VP70.
I could use a couple spare parts.

Can anyone tell me H&Ks phone number?

My experience wasn't so good compared to everyone elses. I broke the mag release on my USP. Calling HK, I finally got to speak with a real person, not a recording. Then came the hassle of sending the gun up, a large price ($70 odd dollars) and who is going to install it? We agreed that they would send the part. A month and a half later I received it- could have driven to the factory and gotten it quicker.

The chance to sell the gun came up, and I vowed not to own an HK unless it was issued to me.

Other than that, they make some great guns.

I had a pretty good experience with them. It was shipping the handgun overnight that really got me :fire: Now I know better...
