Hi!
I realized something the other day - I am more careful and safety conscious due to my involvement with firearms. And I can say that because I haven't really been a gun person all that long, 2 years at the most, and I can remember my attitude towards possible dangerous situations and how it was different from what it is now.
For instance, I am now much more attuned to the possible danger when one of my younger brothers or sisters is doing something stupid like swinging the croquet mallet wildly around for no good reason. I am more alert when driving and I always keep my eye on that guy pulling up to the stop sign on my right, just to make sure he is stopping and isn't going to plow in front of me.
Has anyone else noticed a similar phenomenon?
The thing that made me think about it was when I was helping a friend put up a pole shed last Saturday and I noticed that I automatically kept my finger off of the trigger on the circular saw until I was ready to make the cut.
