Just wanted to say hello. Also have had mostly autos for the last 5 years but grew up shooting revolvers with my father. We shot everything from 44 mag to single shot river 22. I def have a love for wheel guns and S&W. So the bug started to itch and I started looking for a wheel gun again for my CHL. I purchased a S&W model 327 magnum 8 shot night guard. I love this gun. It's my primary carry gun . I do have small autos in 40 cal but the smith carry better more comfortable for me. Not sure why I think mayby because the weight is centered instead of being all in the grip. Gun is very lite and a ball to shoot. I personally think the recoil is very low key. I would recommend the night guard series to anyone. Im saving for the same gun in 44 magnum. Feels wierd to buy another gun in the same model but IMO the Smith model is that good. Not cheap but a work of art. I don't work for smith I'm a fireman. Well anyway hello again look forward to talking gums on this site.

Welcome to the 327 NG club.

I put badger grips on mine, and the recoil can be severe with full loads. I bruised my hand the first time I took it out. Need to work on my grip, cover the backstrap with some rubber, or get a shooting glove.

Held the 327 model at a shop near here and love it! Might just have to save up for after the New Year!

Mine came with pachmeyer grips so the backstrap is covered . The factory grip feels great to me but i'm sure some of ones your talking about would work great also.
