I just wanted to say hello. I have known about THR for a while, but I never got around to registering.
As my name suggests, I live in Japan, at least for one more year, so I do not have access to my guns back in Texas.
Not having my guns really sucks, but the Japanese govt is terrified of its own citizens trying to overthrow the govt so basically all weapons are illegal.
I am a poor man, but I have (serially) owned many over the years.
Usually Id strip them, learn them, shoot them a bit and then trade them.
I was trying to sort of train myself in as many different firearms as I could.
I usually only ever owned one or two guns at a time.

Lets see, I started out with a Marlin 30-30, then a Norinco AK, M1 Garand, Polytech M-1A, STG-58, and recently a CETME.
Pistolwise, I started out with an Essex 1911 (piece of junk), Fed Ord Ranger ( also junk) S&W 645 (great gun, should never have traded it) HK VP70 (trigger pull awful) Makarov, Beretta Cougar, Colt 1911, Sig 226.
Right now I am saving up for an HK P9S.

Welcome Danny,

Just 'cause you can't have guns, doesn't mean you can't talk about 'em.

"Just out of idle curiousty, are you the DannyinJapan that posts at the Cantina / Bladeforums?"

Yes, it's me.
I have yet to see my cherokee rose bowie, it is still in Texas.
Japanese customs dont recognize khukuris as weapons, but they know a Bowie knife when they see one.

Speaking of Japan, there are signs all over the place, in Japanese AND English, asking people to report anyone they know possessing a firearm to the police.
