Anyone know anything about airguns who has a 22 cal XS-B3 chinese ak-copy rifle?
This one:
http://www.funsupply.com/airguns/xs-b3-1.html

Have you experienced a tight bore?
It is supposedly 22 cal, and a 17 cal (4.5mm) pellet falls freely thru the bore. But the first (and only) shot fired was
1. a tight fit into the 'chamber' on loading, and
2. got stuck in the breech end of the bore.

No apparent damage to gun, user, and pellet engaged the rifling and came out easily with a cleaning rod. OK, it took a gently push but it was not really really stuck by any means.

The pellet was a heavy 35-gr devastator hollow point from pyramidair. These:

What can be done? Should i just try other 22 ammo? they dont make it in any other than 17 and 22 cal, and 17 is way too small.

If this is not the correct forum, i understand.
Thanks,
C-

That pellet is way, WAY, WAY too heavy for a .22 springer. For spring-piston .22 air rifles, you should stick with pellets that weigh 15-16 grains or less.

Those super-heavyweights are for the PCP guns.

thanks

Glad that's the only problem!
I guess this rifle is old news to the airgun community, but i don't know anything about it nor airguns in general. After a few HOURS of reading, I began to suspect what you just told me was my problem.
Thanks!

Check out www.straightshooters.com

They have a great airgun forum (they call it Chat or something like that) with a lot of know how.

The yellow forum is also good and has archives that can be searched. Straightshooters posts clear after a few weeks so no archives. :(
