Traded for a beretta 81 that was missing the rear sight, what other models would fit the dovetail.... A beretta 87 DOES NOT FIT, I was told a 92 sight would work....any one willing to measure and report back?
Thanks

81 series sight specs

Can you tell me:
Which 81 did you get? 81, 81B, 81BB, 81F, or 81FS?
Which sights? Target or standard?
Were you using a sight pusher?

Models 81 - 85(all models of each version use the same slide)
Rear Sight (all models of each version use the same rear sight)
(Measurements should be considered no more accurate than ± .001")
Dovetail
No letter = ??
B, BB, F & FS = .317"

B, BB, F & FS = .235"

Notch Depth

Note the slight difference...

didnt have any sight when I got it, I bought an 84 from Midwest gun parts...they sent the 87 ...too big . Brownells has the 81 sight back ordered since October ...update now says after January .....I called a parts place listed on berettas sight...he mentioned the 92 would fit. Just wanted to check before spending more cash...thanks for your help. Do you have the 92 specks for the sight?

For a 92G Brig(again, ±.001")
Night Sights

But, here is something to remember, and I assumed you understood, the sight only goes in on one side, coming out the same side.

Here is a PDF that shows the adjustment and removal of the rear sight.

Didn't get the PDFs.....holding the gun away from you as if shooting, which way do I drift the sight in from left to right or right to left.
