Hello there
I have a "GUSTAFS STADS WARS FAKTORI 1912" 6.5X55
It also has a crown, and the numbers 898 stamped on it in various areas.
It is(was) a beautiful rifle that I have had since I was a kid.
My ex-boyfriend stole the bolt out of it.
Can anyone tell me where I may be able to get a replacement bolt for this rifle?
I am currently using my dads other 6.5x55, but it is a different model(different style of bolt, etc) but it had the stock busted on it years ago, and it has been bolted back together(yup we are rednecks...lol) and it feels awkward in my hands.
I would really prefer to get my gun up and firing again, as I love the feel of mine(it has a snipers barrel and a longer stock than my dads).
Any kind of advise would be great.
Thanks
Michele

Try www.gunpartscorp.com for a bolt, but be aware that the rifle should be checked by a gunsmith for correct headspace with the new bolt before firing it. You may need to try several bolts to get good headspace, which could be expensive in terms of mailing costs.

Hi Clem
I followed the link you gave me. Unfortunately, I'm a bit of a dummy when it comes to these things, and I am lost. I have attached a couple pics(hope they come through ok), so I am hoping that they may be of some use to you.
Thanks again
Michele

Michelle,

Looks like you have Swedish M/96 Mauser that has been sporterized. Someone along the way took off the top handguard and lopped off the front part of the stock.

You might try Swedish Mauser section of the Surplus Rifle Forum to see if they know where to get a bolt, and possibly a replacement stock if you are interested in getting it back to its original configuration:

http://www.surplusrifleforum.com/viewforum.php?f=33

Bear in mind that if you find one, you'll need to have someone check the headspace prior to firing it.

Michelle,
The pictures should help out the others members who know about this type of rifle. I see that there has been one post about it all ready.
Take care.

Thanks guys. I will look into these places.
As for charging the ex with theft..well..he will never admit he took it, and I guess that since he had threatened me years ago with a gun, and was charged/his guns removed and destroyed, he felt like I owed him...lol
Oh well. thats life...hahaha
thanks again.
Michele
