I took a gamble obtaining this little guy. I collect US and/or Canadian-made .22rf single-shot weapons. But, so far I've been unable to locate ANY info on this well-made, attractive little rifle.
The stock is simply a plank sawn to shape then the sharp edges sanded round. VERY similar to a lot of BB gun stocks. It has the perch-belly forestock which has a finger groove routed down each side.
The rear sight, which is mounted backward to most of this type, is the only place where the gun has any stampings.
Am assuming it's a MODEL 101 SAFARI, but no idea WHO made it!!!
I saw a very poor photo of one offered a few years ago by Rock Island Auctions but it looked like it was probably THIS gun. Keep intending to check with their archivist to see if they've got any further info on it.
Any help from other readers would be greatly appreciated.
