I bought 5 boxes of surplus .303 ammo today and I am curious where it is from and if there are any problems with it.

The ammo comes 10 rounds to a box, each box containing 2 loaded clips.

The box has the following markings on it:

_____________
10
Cartridges
.303 INCH
Mk 7
in 2 chargers

(up arrow)
I.D.A.
P.O.F.

P.A. 108

The box is stamped 2 Nov 1967.
_____________

The headstamp is Marked POF at 12 o'clock, 67 at 4 o'clock, and 7 at 8 o'clock.

Price was $2 per box.
Thanks for the help.

I concur with nemesis. POF = Pakistani Ordnance Factory. It is not only corrosive, it is probably loaded with Cordite.

Cordite burns at a very high temperature, and is therefore erosive. While you'd have to shoot a lot of it through a bolt action rifle for it to be a problem, I prefer to avoid it in my Lee-Enfields.
