So, I burned through all of my surplus .303 today (first time shooting my LE No4 Mk1 that I bought all the way back in May), '40's British, and all I happen to have left is this mysterious box of ammo that I bought at local shop in CO and I need some help in Id'ing it.
It comes in a plain brown box; the top reads '50 ROUND 7,7x56R'
The front of the box reads 'BALL R1M3Z, 146, A 12/81Z'.
The rounds are cased in brass and appear to have a standard copper jacket along with the headstamp which says 'A81 7,7 R1M3Z'.
Any leads on this bit would be great!
