I have a S&W revolver barrel out of a estate sale. I would like to find out the model it will work on and Any help to a ball park value will be helpfull. Thanks!
barrel has on it...
38 S&W CTG
Smith & Wesson
It is a 5inch barrel.
barrel groves are perfect
Five inch .38 S&W (not Special) and no number make it seem to be a spare from the days of Lend Lease and British contract Military & Police revolvers. Technically a Model of 1905 Fourth Change. It would be a good replacement on one of those sawn off so short as to lose the ejector rod latch lug when sold surplus; but it would not be a simple screw-it-in change.
