Hello everybody I have a set of grips that I don't know if they are for a I or J frame S&W. Here are a few pics of them. Thanks for any help

My m60 LadySmith has those EXACT same grips - Rosewood I believe. Without a m36 next to the m60, I can't tell which model they belong to...but I'd put even money on the LadySmith.

Thanks so much I think you guys are right on this. Now I know what I have I can put them up for sale or trade. I knew there where guys on here that would know what they where for. Thanks again

Those are J frame; the I frame grips are noticeably shorter, being the same as the old breaktop grips.

Recently I was looking at a set of those grips, they fit my Model 38 RB perfectly. The one major difference was the medallion. The medallion in the "red, smooth" grips was very poorly cast, it looked blurry when held side by side with two other S&W grips. It was mentioned in passing that they were probably counterfeit from Taiwan or Thailand or even the Philippines. These seemed to be very open grained on the inside, more like mahogany than rose wood. The outside was filled and nicely finished but the medallion just did not stand up to close scrutiny.

The medallion on this are nice and sharp. These are some grips left to me when my dad passed away. I didn't know what they fit. I know he had them for over 10 years. I would like to trade them for a nice set of k frame grips to go on the mod. 65 that I got of his. The bad thing is the screw is missing. But the screw on the 65 fits good. But it might be a little to long not sure because I don't have anything to try them on. These are a nice set of grips no scratches on them. Just my pics are not that good. Thanks again for all the help.
