Help Identifying Rifle Stock

Hi - I've got a stock here that I'm having trouble identifying. I'm thinking it may be a Mauser 98 rifle stock the mounting holes are 7 7/8" apart center-to-center. Please look at the pictures and let me know what you think

It certainly looks like a large ring 98 Mauser stock. 7 7/8" is the correct spacing for a standard 98. They normally utilize a spacer in the rear trigger guard hole for proper spacing and tension.
Hard to tell for sure, but it appears the barrel channel may be set for the stepped military barrel.

I appreciate the input. I got some input from Gunbroker also and they said the same thing. Mauser 98 large ring for straight bolt handle. Best Regards.
