I am big in to semi's, love my sigs and HK, but have no experience with revolvers. My is going to give me these next time I am home.

Here is what I know about them:

1) They are both shoot 38 special
2) The silver one is a Taurus
3) The black one is a snubbie S&W
That’s basically all I know.

FYI, I don’t have them with me, just the pictures, as they are still in the possession of my father.

Any idea as to what models they are and approx value.

The Taurus, if it is a .38 Special only and not a .357, appears to be a Model 82 (a .357 is a Model 65), the S&W a Model 36 "Chiefs Special." Older, "pre-lock" S&W revolvers like that one are climbing in value. $400-$450, perhaps even more, would not be out of line, although the small size of the picture makes it difficult to judge the level of finish wear. The Taurus is probably around $200-$250.

A photography question: the first thumbnail shows the cylinder release latches on the right sides of the guns.

Thanks

Hey thanks for the info, greatly appreciated.

Not sure about the photo, it looks like the release is on boht sides no??
