Been there, done that....
My benches are all 2x10" or 2x8" tops.
When I move something that is bolted down, I use wood dowels and hammer them into the holes with wood glue.
If you get the wood grain just right, it doesn't look too bad with a touch of the same stain.

A lot of times I just sit in my shop and try to think of something interesting to work on, either reloading something different or modifying my shop or tools to serve me better.....I just enjoy it, I don't feel sick?
I moved my two presses 4 times this week trying to find that sweet spot. If I don't quit soon, my benchtop's going to look like swiss cheese.
