...is asking for volunteers to help locate the contact info on the people listed below. This is Alan's latest crusade. A local professor at Arizona State University "Prof. Fabricius" and his son had an article published in the local newspaper as well as a respected journal detailing gun use. What they did, essentially was to clip newspaper articles over a few months period to see how people used guns. Surprise, surprise, the stories detailed criminal use of guns. As a result, the wrote that there was no evidence that people used guns for self defense.
This is like using newspaper stories to see what minorities are up to. They would be convinced that they are all actors, singers, rap stars, athletes, or criminals (or some combination). It would be ridiculus, right? But the papers refuse to print a retraction and the journal heads are begging off comment.
Maybe look up one of the anti-gunners below whose name starts with the same (or near) letter as does yours.
Thanks,
Rick
From Alan:
--snip--
Here's one for an ambitious someone.
I would write to every member of the Injury Prevention Editorial Board if I had their eddresses. All I have is their names and affiliations. (I already have the journal staff's eddresses.)
Would someone with a fast connection and the desire look up at least some of these and send them to me?
Strike a blow for the good guys.
At the very least, these people need to know what's going on with the Fabricius story. I'm working on that, making headway, will post some excellent news shortly.
Thanks.
Alan.
