help loading 107gr Sierra in a 6.5x55 swede

Hi everyone,

Just got my Rockchucker Supreme kit and am getting ready to load some 140gr Sierra MatchKings for my son's 6.5x55 Tikka. Back when I started accumulating things i picked up some 107gr Sierras..... and I don't see any data for the powders I've picked up......

Has anyone worked up a load for this round with any of these?

RL-22
N-160
Alliant 4350 (short supply)
H-4831

Could have sworn I saw a load using one of these earlier but do you think I can find it now that I'm ready to load?

mpstan, first off, Alliant does not make a 4350. Could you have meant Accurate 4350, IMR4350 or H4350?
Rel-22, N-160 and H4831 will work but are much better with the 140gr bullet weights.

I suggest identifying the version of 4350 that you have as there is a difference between the different versions.
Go to the www.hodgdon.com site and view the loads listed. They do show the Sierra 107gr bullet with H4831.
You'll need to access the www.alliantpowder.com site for their loads.

Use the data for the 108gr Scenar with the N-160.

I missed the H4831 data on Hodgdon's website; damn my eyes.....

I have Accurate 4350.

Sorry for the not-so-Accurate post.

I should probably not waste my time with N160 or RL22 when trying to come up with an accurate load you'd guess? My son will be bench shooting 100-200 yds; getting to know the rifle, improving technique, etc.

The Accurate 4350 might be the ticket with the lighter bullet. It all depends on your rifle's accuracy with it.
The Max listed is 48gr with a 100gr bullet at the Accurate powder site but at low pressure.

I have another site that shows a grain more with the Sierra 107gr, and is not listed as a Max load.
