I had the idea to buy another SKS and use a TAPCO FUSION stock. I am in search of a sks paratrooper that takes ak mags. The problem is that would push me over the limit for bad features in CT. So I need to make the tapco a fixed stock. I am not sure that the "ace fixed stock" will bolt up to the tapco even tho it was designed for the Post ban AR's. Does anyone have the tapco stock for either the sks or mini 14 that can tell me if the 6 position stock can be removed in leu of any other AR stock? Here is a pic of what got me wanting to build this "cheap rifle"

by the way AK-47 type weapons are banned now in CT so this is my way of side stepping and getting a 7.62x39 rifle.

I am sorry I can't help with you with an SKS, but a converted Saiga in .223 or .308, or an AK74(ban compliant) will also get you to your goal. According to the attorney general I believe, an "AK type" uses the operating system of an AK, has interchangeable parts with an AK, and shoots 7.62x39.
