I recently took a handgun course equivalent to the first 2 days of the Pistol 250 class at Gunsite, and have found myself with a bad case of GAS (gun acquirement syndrome).

I currently conceal carry a Colt Series 70. I love the gun to death, I shoot great with it, and it is not that hard to conceal. However, in the summer, when the scale tops out at 115, it tends to print or show easy in my short sleeve shirts. It is also somewhat uncomfortable while sitting.

So now I have taken in interest in a subcompact Glock for appendix carry. I am most interested in the G27 (I lean towards larger calibers and have no problem with recoil control), and am looking for input. What other suggestions might you have? Any experience with the G27?

Thanks in advance.

I've never shot a G27, but if you want a concealable compact Glock in a large caliber, why not the G36? It's slimmer than the 27 and is 1/2 inch taller, giving you better purchase on the grip. They weigh about the same. Nothing wrong with a single stack .45 ACP. In fact, if I didn't already EDC a Kahr CW45, I'd get the G36.
