Hi folks I am going to take my handgun to a gunshow and give to a dealer to sell for me. I am wondering what the market price would be. It is new unfired from 1999. It is a 40 Smith and Wesson. It has box and papers and some accessories. Any Walther experts out there? I just want to be realistic about what to expect. Thanks!

i look on gun broker to see what asking prices are... and watch to see bid prices....then see what they really sell for....there are variations too in different parts of the country...like guns are double price in california and DC...gary

A new first gen P99 with anti stress trigger? I would guess maybe around $550 retail. Trade in, of course, will be far less.

If the OP has a P99 with the AS trigger configureation, and if it's in very good to better shape, then it's likely worth somewhere in the $500 range. If it's a P99 with one of the other trigger configurations (a QA, for example), take off $100 or more. If it's an SW99, take off $150 or so. CDNN Sports is selling NIB P99QA models right now for $449, IIRC.
