I much prefer a 4" model 64. I gave up on rugers decades ago as I don't care for their triggers or actions. It's pretty darn hard to beat a good old smith & wesson.

I'm leaning in this direction for the "new" farm/woods beater though. While Christmas shopping I was in "the" local Jewelry store talking with the owner, he noticed a pistol rug under my arm (I had picked-up a repair around the corner), and inquired, we got talking guns and he took me back to his vault and showed me a half-dozen guns of he's bought from another downtown merchant who was going out of business years back. Among them was a 1961 Winchester 94 NIB! (sn 24783XX), and a S&W model 10-8 (sn 523XX early 1970's), and they're for sale. The M10 even had a interesting local story to go along with it.broken said:any ol smith 10,15,64-ruger security /service six...
I like single action revolvers too, but most people don't seem to like them for anything but a novelty nowadays.
