Ive got around a $600 budget for my AR to work with so......

-New Tac Con Trigger?
-EoTech sight?

The question arises,

Ive fired the Tac Con setup, like it but definitly takes training with it. kinda iffy on it for the price but i understand how alot of people feel about them plus i wouldnt buy one without a spikes stripped lower and that wraps up $600

Now Eotech... everybodys got'em and they seem to love'em but what makes them so special compared to a $30-$100 red dot or holographic sight? im constantly switching between a 4x16 hunting scope to a cheap red dot. i like both styles of shooting but aggravating to switch'em.

Another thing to keep in mind, im collecting parts i take off my AR and have bought a few pieces from others to build a second rifle so the extra budget would help get the bigger pieces like lowers, uppers, barrel, or buffer tube, etc.....

Any Ideas???

If you get an eotech, consider a newer model, as some of the older ones arent quite as reliable. Ive so wanted to try a tac-con. When did you fire one??

Not to be a wiseguy (ok, maybe a little bit) but if you haven't shot the rifle enough to know what it needs, you're just wasting money buying accessories. Shoot the rifle until you identify what will improve the rifle and go for that

I fired the Tac Con trigger group at my backwoods LGS lol and i liked it well enough. took me a while to figure it out and like i said definitly something to train with but follow up shots were alot easier than i had expected. but it would serve realistically as "fun" option and a conversation piece with other shooters and friends. But I guess you always have that SHTF option if you ever came to that.

Now i do fire my rifle alot, but the op stated that i do need better optics, the flip-up sites i have are a POS (Swampfox) and definitly will be purchasing Magpul flip-up sights along with a Magpul sling. I have several different red dot setups from Tasco, Nc Star, illuminated scopes a to plain jane 3x9-4x16 hunting scopes. it goes without saying that these items are cheap stuff and you get what you pay for etc etc. But what makes Eotech so much better? and with the Eotech and magnifier does it add a good bit of weight to it?

I use my rifle as a multi purpose gun, from possums/buzzards to the range. i use it for fun and for practical purposes. and money left over will be for parts on the second rifle if i have any left over that is. I try to challenge myself as a shooter in all dynamics possible from long range to close-up.

Inexpensive reloading outfit ~200, tips for 100, powder 50, primers 50, brass...free? Then 150 for a decent dot and a really nice dinner with a SO or friend.
