Help- Need factory discontinued part

If anyone could help me out here- I need an actuating rod sub-assembly for my mossberg 9200. I know I could Probably just box it up and send it to the factory for repair, but it was my 1st gun- a confirmation present, so it has high sentimental value, and i havent had good luck with things getting damaged in the mail. Plus it seems stupid to send it back, and pay the shipping when all i need is a small 9" piece- any help would be invaluable, Thanks in advance
