Help Needed CVA .45 Cal percusion pistol

Wondering if any one could help

Benn helping out neighbor kid who has inherited his dads black powder pistol

I took it to a local gunsmith to ensure it was safe to fire...which it is...but it is missing the front ramp sight...octagon barrel

The shop did not have any

does anyone have an idea of where to get one...I found a lot of "new" fiber optic but he wants to keep it as close to original as possible

please let me know

Since a CVA is not a collectors gun, you could make a front sight for the pistol. This was a common backwoods modification in the old days.

Folks would cut a coin or a washer in half and attach it.

I agree that a fiber optic sight is wrong for that gun.

Track of the Wolf or Dixie gun works. Anything you need.
