I have a 6.5 mm Swede M38 that is in very good condition. I want to shoot the 6.5mm but I cant see well enough with the iron sights. Does anyone know of a scope base that will fit this particular gun? The bolt handle is bent but looks like it might require a med to high ring set up. A NO GUNSMITHING base that will not alter the historical value of the gun?

I know yall have a yes or no! Thanks

Here you go:

B-square mounts are fairly well known, Millet used to make some also but I haven't seen them lately, but I haven't been looking either.

Another option is the Williams replacement rear sight with a ghost ring, not so good for accuracy but they help me a lot with short range shooting.

I'm just another middle aged, balding, overweight suburbanite with trifocals. So I have spent a lot of time looking for technology aids to improve my diminishing skills.

You might want to try some over the counter reading glasses that are not quite strong enough to read with but can give you a pretty decent sight picture. The target may be a little fuzzy but you can get to center of the mass. Good for out to about 100 yds. After that all bets are off.

aka 108...

Dude.... it might pay you to read the thread I mentioned above. With the right lens scrip you can EASILY shoot sub-moa with irons out to 600 yards and beyond. Many an old-timer Highpower shooter does it all the time. Ask me how I know.... ;)

I wear tri-focals. My aviator-style shooting glasses have an insert lens glued to the inner/upper part of the lens; it's the same prescription as the mid-range part of the regular lens. It works with pistol or rifle for a razor sharp sight picture. The target is not blurred enough to matter. And the add-on is not expensive.
