I live in New Zealand and although we received a large number of Swedish Mausers here I am yet to see an M41B up for sale. As such I have decided to build a replica and it will be based around an Oberndorf 1900 M96 which is totally mint except target sights had been fitted at the rear of the receiver. These are the holes I imagine Jacko found on his. I have a aftermarket short side rail mount but good quality. I have managed to get an Ajack 4x90 but it has crosshairs. I have an Ajack 2.5x70 with the correct post sniper reticle but that's going on another replica I will sell. So the replicas will start rolling out and if done well I think will be a satisfactory replacement when none others are available. I would never bubba an Oberndorf if it hadn't already been drilled and tapped for a target sight. The other rifle (replica) has tiger stripe stock. Oberndorf is plain.
