well, I must say, I love optics on my go-to rifles. Unfortunately, my converted Saiga is still without any sort of optic whatsoever. I wanted to change that, but keep in the Eastern European spirit with an Eastern European AK sight.

I was thinking a Kobra or PK-AS, since I've heard so much about these. The only problem is that it is kinda hard to try one out due to me not knowing nor seeing anyone with any sort of these sights.

The only thing I'm worried about is that I need a sight that is side-mounted (or works with an AK side mount) and doesn't have an offset. Any offset to the side is a deal-breaker since I am left-handed. I've heard both come in offset and non-offset versions (or at least have similar models which are not offset).

Does anyone have any experience with either of these?

The primary amrs mounts look nice but you can get a BPO2 mount with picatinny rail for less than half. If i recall they can also be had offset or directly over bore in addition to different heights.

This could work. Thanks. I will look further into it.

Also guys: I'm looking into an Eastern European sight. Although I love my EOtech, I want to stick to the MO of "commie stuff for a commie rifle", if that makes sense.

The main reason is - like a communist - cost is an important factor here.
