Thanks for the heads-up on the HP-38.
I’ve been following the thread that you started about the same and comparable powders and it has been VERY helpful in my decision making about substituting powders. I am more than just grateful.
I have enough comparable powders on hand to get by for a long while, so I’m going to hold out for better pricing. (Graf is approximately 10% higher than Powder Valley was for HP-38). I feel like I’m being held hostage over product availability and admittedly I don’t understand the economics of the powder manufacturers not meeting the demand other than driving the prices up… then again, maybe I do understand.
I’m getting a little long in the tooth as evidenced by a remembrance of companies giving you value for your dollar. Now all I seem to see is those same companies getting whatever the trade will bear.
My wife will not let me go to the grocery store with her thinking it will bear me the anguish of sticker shock and give her the relief from not hearing me bitch! Maybe the ostriches have the right idea about sticking their heads in the sand… at least on some things.
