Okay, I hope you're talking about a dog and not a child So no gun names....but you didn't say bullets So, being a bird dog, I would choose 1 of 2....The first sounds more like a normal name....
Ackley (boy or Girl)
Caliber (boy)
Those are my choices...
Could also go with trigger, but that's a little too lame.
Bridger -- sounds like a dentist.
Frisco -- it's in california.
Jackson -- a pedophile.
Kipper -- a breakfast fish.
Paddington -- terminally precious teddy bear
Teilo; Tye for short -- not bad!
Tucker -- pretty good. no doubt will be called "Tuck" at some point.
I voted for Tucker for the humor potential when he poops on the rug, or when a toddler tries to say his name...
I like to keep dog/horse/cat names simple and usually one or two syllables max. Easier to say, easier for them to understand. For example, we have a pony named "Scout" because she's a paint. Everybody remembers Tonto's horse, right?
We used to have a girl dog named "Bob". Sort of a switch on "a boy named Sue".
Good luck with that little whippersnapper whatever you call him.
