I need some help with an old leupold mount. It’s the two piece scope mount where the front ring twists into the base and the rear has two opposing bolts to align the scope with the bore. How do I align the scope with the bore? I know I can eventually get it aligned with enough ammo and changes in range, but if there’s an easier / quicker way, please let me know.

Thanks!

I sight down the bore with the bolt removed. That's gotten me within 3 MOA reliably.

Please tell me that you're using Burris Signature rings with those bases.

Nope, but any scope damage would have already taken place years ago. The bases, rings and scope were pulled off a rifle a few years ago and have been sitting in a 'junk' box since. If the scope didn't have several coats of rattle can camo on it, it would probably be worth $75, but in it's current form, maybe $40... :D
