Help with a colt buntline .22

Hey all, my boss brought me a pistol to work today to see if i could help identify it, it is a colt .22 lr marked peacemaker buntline.22 on the barrel, When i look in my bluebook it doesn't seem to match up with what the pistol is telling me. from what i can see there is no K or Q in the serial #6373** I can't find it in the book so i came to the experts!
I see lots of frontiers and new frontiers out there but none seem to match up with this one. Any help would be much appreciated.

Any help with year of production and value would be a great help too, i would place this at about a 90 to 95 percent gun as there is some holster wear and some very minor surface fuzz that will clean up with a little work. Thanks again in advance for you help.

There should be a letter as the LAST digit in the serial number.
Colt used letters as both prefixes and suffixes in the .22 single actions.

6373** is probably a 1969 model.
Since Colt made early guns with aluminum frames, mid-production in Zamac zinc, and late models in steel frames, the letter in the serial determines what it is, whether the letter is a prefix or a suffix.

To be sure, you can call Colt during normal business hours and they'll tell you the production date over the phone.
They won't tell you anything else or estimate any value.

Value would be "around" $250 for one in 90%.

Thats the problem i am having, no letter code on the serial number, is ther another place i can look for a serial number?

EDIT MYSELF!! After looking at the serial # with a magnifying glass my old eys finally realized the first number is a G!!
Serial numbere id G37344!! man i didn't know my eyes where that bad!!

What Is the born on date now?

Could that first number, the 6, be a badly stamped G ?

the G wasn't badly stamped. my eyes decieved me, it was a G that looked like a 6 until i looked at it close up.
