I've been studying the Garand maual by6 Duff for a while now and I'm ready for my next one, but I'm not sure what to offer on this one. He has no asking price. (Family aquaintance) He'd like me to make an offer.
The receiver is a 1945.
Trigger Group: 6528890 HRA N
Bolt: 6528287 HRA
Barrel: SA 06535448 2 53 A185A
All the parts seem to be mid-50's
Hawkeye shows sharp lands/grooves with tool markings, so it hasn't beemn lapped.
Rebuild by a decent gunsmith.
I don't want to mess with him, I just want to offer a fair price. Can anyone help with this?
